DESCRIPTION:
Clock - Chelsea, automobile clock with "Rolls-Royce" marked dial, 8-day, base-metal case of approximately 3.25 inch diameter with chrome-plated bezel, black metal dial, SW-SS via pushing in and turning smaller crown within larger crown, lever escapement, 7J, gilt mvt, s#143802 with matching serial number to rear of case.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, setting mechanism only occasionally engages and more often the crown turns without engaging, overhaul needed for normalized setting function, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent gilt tone apart from a few smaller areas of darkening; excellent dial with some perimeter wear under bezel; excellent hands; case shows medium wear, some scratches and nicks, losses of chrome-plating to bezel, finish loss to much of bezel seat, marring to screw heads in case rear; crown shows light wear; beveled glass crystal with scattered scratches.
